Job Overview
As a key member of the Product Development team, you will define software products that ensure equitable access to digital, document, and printed information for people with disabilities. Reporting to the VP of Product Innovation, you will be the driving force behind our product development, ensuring seamless execution from ideation to launch.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs. Use customer insights to drive product improvements and new features.
- Collaborate with Sales, Support, Development, Marketing and other teams to define product requirements and create user stories.
- Prioritize features, user stories, and technical tasks to ensure the product portfolio backlog is focused on maximum value and timely delivery.
- Manage the roadmap for a portfolio with multiple products, ensuring alignment and effective resource allocation.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders, including executives, sales, marketing, and customer support teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams and guide the launch of the products.
- Ensure that every aspect of the product is addressed comprehensively (delivering “total product”, such as user documentation, support, training, legal agreements, etc.)
- Participate in product testing and release management to ensure quality rollouts.
- Contribute to developing and executing a go-to-market strategy that includes product positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
- Track product quality performance using key metrics and analytics. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Showcase the products and present roadmap and insights to a broader audience.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years in a product management role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio with multiple software products.
- Experience with customer discovery and feature requirements development.
- Proficiency in creating and managing product roadmaps and prioritizing features.
- Experience in launching and scaling subscription-based software platforms.
- Solid understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of project management, road mapping, user research and prototyping tools (such as Jira, Trello, Aha!, UserTesting, Figma, etc.)
- Product management certification is a bonus (such as AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute, or similar).
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
- Influencing skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and strong internal/external relationship-building skills.
Remote Working Requirements
- Working space must be professional / business appropriate, free of distractions and safely maintained (as to meet safe working conditions followed on company premises).
- A fast, stable / uninterrupted internet connection.
Physical Demands
- Mostly sedentary, and prolonged periods of sitting and looking at a monitor screen
- Large number of phone and video calls
