Business Development Representative – Full Time; Remote / US Based

Reports to: Manager, BDR Team

Schedule / Shift: Monday – Friday; EST or CST Day Hours; 40 per week

Our Business Development Representatives are the first point of contact between prospective customers and Allyant, and are expected to cultivate relationships with prospective clients in order to catalyze business development success.  The role is responsible for identifying and contacting potential clients, prospecting into appropriate targeted verticals, setting meetings, and generating leads in order to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities to build a more robust pipeline in collaboration with Account Executives.
  • Research and develop targeted prospects in public and private organizations.
  • Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, LinkedIn, Marketing Campaigns.
  • Act as first point of contact for Inbound leads.
  • Hit assigned Key Performance Metrics including minimum outreach per day, and booking and qualifying meetings.
  • Uncover a prospect’s business challenges and identify relevant new business opportunities while highlighting the benefits of Allyant.
  • Manage prospect pipeline by facilitating prospect introductions with Account Executives.
  • Work effectively with internal departments to develop targeted lists, call strategies and messaging to drive opportunities for new business.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual qualified meeting goals.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • A minimum of a High School Degree; Bachelors degree desired.
  • At least 6 months of B2B sales/business development experience.
  • Experience in the accessibility space and knowledge of related challenges preferred.
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced environment; and independently setting and achieving goals.
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear and simple way.
  • Experience with sales platforms and prospecting tools, Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, Zoom Info, Seamless and Outreach.

  • Time Management – Managing one’s own time with a proven ability to deliver quality work and meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to define opportunities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and strong adherence to the practice of business ethics.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and handle difficult personalities and situations independently.
  • Negotiation skills.

Language Ability:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Other languages are an asset.

Remote Requirements

  • Working space must be professional / business appropriate, free of distractions and safely maintained (as to meet safe working conditions followed on company premises).
  • A fast, stable / uninterrupted internet connection
